Job summary

SPT Labtech is seeking a Field Application Scientist based in the Seattle area to support West USA customers. You’ll run product demonstrations, train users and develop automation protocols across our liquid handling portfolio, collaborating with sales, marketing and a global FAS team.

The role involves significant travel throughout the West USA with some travel to the East USA and our UK headquarters. You will work across time zones, provide remote and in-person applications support, and

Qualifications

MSc with at least five years’ practical experience or a PhD with at least two years in a Biological Science discipline, liquid handling, laboratory automation or related field in an industry or academic environment.
Experience with workflow optimization in genomics, drug discovery, and structural biology.
Excellent presentation and training skills and ability to mentor others.
Willingness to travel up to 75%, including international travel.

Responsibilities

Organize and run product demonstrations on all SPT Labtech liquid handlers.
Provide applications-based training to new and existing users of all SPT Labtech instruments.
Develop, modify, and enhance advanced liquid handling and automation protocols to optimize client operations.
Maintain Salesforce recordkeeping and contribute to conference strategy.
