Job summary

Ensign Drilling in West Texas seeks an experienced Drill Pipe & BOP Specialist to support drilling operations across the region. You will coordinate inspection, maintenance, repair, certification, inventory, and readiness of drill pipe, tubular equipment, BOPs, and related well-control gear, partnering with field ops and service providers.

Collaborate with field operations, maintenance, supply chain, rig personnel, and third-party providers to ensure equipment is properly maintained, tracked,

Qualifications

• Five or more years of drilling rig experience.
• Knowledge of the DS-1 drill stem inspection standard: categories, methods, and acceptance criteria.
• Knowledge of the API 16A standard for BOP equipment: ram-type, annular, ratings, testing, compliance.
• Experience managing and controlling equipment inventory.

Responsibilities

• Manage drill pipe, heavyweight drill pipe, drill collars, and related tubular equipment.
• Coordinate inspections, maintenance, repairs, and certification for BOPs and related equipment.
• Forecast equipment requirements and coordinate purchases, rentals, repairs, transfers, and replacements.
• Keep equipment records and supporting documentation accurate and current.
• Support field operations by ensuring equipment availability and readiness.
