Northwestern Medicine is seeking a West Region SANE Registry Nurse Examiner to provide trauma-informed medical forensic services to sexual assault survivors. The role requires collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, adherence to SASETA and professional standards, and ongoing education for patients and families.

You will perform exams, evidence collection, counseling on emergency contraception, STI prophylaxis, and participate in legal proceedings.

Qualifications

• Current Illinois RN licensure in good standing.
• BLS certification upon hire.
• Completion of IL SANE Clinical Training Program within 1 year of hire.

Responsabilités

• Provide trauma-informed medical forensic exams and evidence collection.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to care for sexual assault survivors.
• Maintain thorough documentation to ensure compliance with SASETA and policies.
• Educate survivors and families to meet emotional and healthcare needs.
• Testify in court as needed and assist SANEs in proceedings.
