Northwestern Medicine seeks a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) to provide expert, compassionate care for sexual assault survivors. The role emphasizes autonomous practice within professional standards and close collaboration with the SANE coordinator, imaging and therapeutic services.

Required: BSN or ADN with commitment to BSN within three years, Illinois RN license, and completion of IL SANE clinical training; preferred SANE-A/P, ACLS/TNCC, and related certifications.

Formación

• RN licensure in Illinois in good standing at hire.
• A BSN or ADN with commitment to obtain BSN within three years of employment.
• Completion of IL SANE Clinical Training Program within 1 year of hire.
• Completion of IAFN 40-hour didactic class and IL SANE clinical training log.

Responsabilidades

• Autonomously provide care following SASETA, Illinois Nurse Practice Act and SANE standards.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to facilitate survivor care.
• Maintain accurate documentation and chain of custody for evidence.
• Educate survivors and families to support recovery.
• Testify in court as needed and assist colleagues in court preparation.
• Engage in ongoing quality improvement to enhance patient outcomes.
