Job summary

Waters Corporation is seeking a Field Applications Specialist to enable successful onboarding, training, and adoption of flow cytometry workflows in a field-based role across the West Region. You will partner with customers to deliver expert guidance, optimize workflows, and ensure ongoing success from onboarding through long-term utilization.

The role requires hands-on experience with flow cytometry and cell sorting, strong troubleshooting and training capabilities, and the ability to travel

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or related field.
• Hands-on experience with flow cytometry applications and cell sorting.
• Strong troubleshooting capabilities across complex workflows.
• Ability to translate scientific concepts into practical application.
• Strong training, communication, and presentation skills.
• Valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of driving history.
• Ability and willingness to travel extensively (60–70%), including multi-day overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer onboarding and training to ensure smooth adoption.
• Provide advanced application support and troubleshooting across instruments and workflows.
• Drive utilization and adoption through scientific consultation and best-practice recommendations.
• Build trust with scientific stakeholders and support ongoing success.
• Identify opportunities to expand application usage with customers.
• Collaborate with commercial, service, and marketing teams to align customer strategies.
• Enable measurable customer outcomes and long-term value creation.
