Job summary

Zurich North America is seeking a Contract Surety Underwriter to strengthen our portfolio and client relationships across the West region. This market-facing role covers CA, NV, AZ, CO, NM and more, with travel about 20%. The role involves under-writing large contract surety, developing broker partnerships, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Employment offers robust compensation and bonuses depending on level.

Qualifications

• Experience in underwriting, banking, mortgage, finance, or market facing area.
• Knowledge of lines of business and regulatory guidelines.
• Experience with time restraints for quotes on new and renewal business.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice program is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Underwriting and analyzing new and renewal business for large contract surety.
• Navigating complex assignments with confidence and autonomy.
• Building and maintaining strategic broker and agency relationships.
• Ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements.
