Zurich North America is seeking a Contract Surety Underwriter for the West Region to strengthen our portfolio and client relationships across 13 Western States. This market-facing role requires deep surety knowledge and the ability to manage large accounts with autonomy.

The position offers hybrid work with travel around 20% and the opportunity to develop broker relationships while expanding a domestic and international large account portfolio.

Qualifications

• Underwriting and market-facing experience preferred.
• Time constraints for quotes on new and renewal business knowledge.
• Experience in underwriting or claims support is favorable.

Responsibilities

• Underwriting and analyzing new and renewal business for large contract surety.
• Navigating complex assignments with confidence and autonomy.
• Building and maintaining strategic broker and agency relationships.
• Ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements.

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an associate degree
