Zurich NA in the West region is seeking a Contract Surety Underwriter to strengthen our portfolio, deepen broker relationships, and drive growth across 13 Western States. This market-facing role demands technical expertise in surety lines and the ability to operate with autonomy.

You will manage large accounts, travel about 20%, build strategic broker partnerships, and ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines.

Qualifications

• 3+ years underwriting or market-facing experience for Specialist or 5+ for Executive
• Knowledge of lines of business and regulatory guidelines
• Experience with quotes on new/renewal business
• Experience with Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Underwriting and analyzing new and renewal business for large contract surety
• Navigating complex assignments with confidence and autonomy
• Building and maintaining strategic broker and agency relationships
• Ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements
