Job summary

MEF Maintenance is seeking an experienced Regional Director of Maintenance to lead multiple facilities across Washington and Oregon, driving operational excellence and regulatory compliance. This hands-on leader will coach regional maintenance teams, oversee preventative programs, and manage capital projects while traveling regionally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of maintenance leadership experience.
• Experience leading multi-site regional maintenance across facilities is highly preferred.
• Healthcare/long-term care maintenance experience is preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical systems, and life safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, coaching, and operational support to maintenance directors and regional teams.
• Inspect facilities to ensure compliance with Life Safety Code, CMS, OSHA and company standards.
• Oversee preventative maintenance programs to maximize equipment performance and reliability.
• Lead Life Safety readiness and support during surveys, audits, and emergencies.
• Manage capital improvements, renovations, and equipment upgrades across locations.
• Monitor regional budgets and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Evaluate maintenance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure accurate documentation, inspections, logs, and work orders; mentor regional leaders.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure quality and timely delivery.
• Travel extensively within Washington and Oregon to support facilities.
