The Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) seeks an experienced Regional Engagement Director based in Northern California to lead strategic outreach and engagement on the West Coast, strengthening CFR’s network of members, officials, technologists, educators, journalists, and partners.

The Director will develop a regional strategy and work with CFR's senior leaders to expand CFR’s impact, connecting regional audiences with CFR research and programming across diverse sectors.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in international relations or related field; MA/MS preferred.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. foreign policy and its nexus with the tech industry.
• Experience engaging with West Coast leaders and public policy.

Responsabilités

• Build and maintain a diverse regional network of leaders.
• Develop a comprehensive regional outreach strategy with senior CFR leaders.
• Strengthen CFR’s connections with constituency groups on the ground.
• Gain insights from local audiences to tailor regional programming.
• Identify and engage strategic partner organizations to raise CFR’s profile on the West Coast.
• Attend regional events hosted by CFR and other institutions.
• Facilitate ongoing communication with CFR members and stakeholders in the region.
• Support cross-departmental initiatives and regional projects.
• Work with CFR departments to engage key contacts and deepen relationships.
• Represent CFR at regional events and conferences.
