The Council on Foreign Relations is seeking an experienced Regional Engagement Director based in the Bay Area/Northern California. This fully remote role will lead strategic engagement across the West Coast, travel frequently within the region, and coordinate with CFR’s National Program and Outreach teams.

The position reports to senior leadership and collaborates with CFR President Mike Froman’s staff to expand CFR’s regional impact.

Qualifikationen

• At least 10 years of experience in public affairs, government relations, public policy, or related fields.
• Experience with Bay Area leaders strong preference.
• Ability to translate complex international issues for diverse audiences.

Aufgaben

• Develop regional outreach and engagement strategy for the West Coast.
• Cultivate relationships with CFR members, officials, academics, business and civil society leaders.
• Represent CFR at regional events and coordinate with senior CFR staff.
• Collaborate to shape regional programming and content reflecting local insights.
• Coordinate logistics for regional meetings and travel across the West Coast.
• Support cross-departmental initiatives and national convenings.
