Job summary

Fresh Thyme Market is seeking a Vitamin & Body Care Manager to lead the department, guide staff, and ensure sales and customer satisfaction. This role requires overseeing staff, inventory, pricing, and compliance with health guidelines, while maintaining a friendly, energetic demeanor.

The position emphasizes customer service, cross-functional collaboration, and adherence to department procedures; opportunities for career growth and involvement in health-focused events with Marketing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency degree.
• Minimum of 4 years professional experience.
• Preferred 3-5 years grocery retail experience in Vitamin & Body Care department processes and procedures.
• Previous experience in a natural foods industry is a plus.
• Must maintain the highest level of customer service at all times.

Responsibilities

• Prepare weekly sales and labor projections for the Vitamin & Body Care Department to maximize sales and profits.
• Monitor and control costs and expenses; include proper ordering, inventory control, and pricing accuracy.
• Manage department staff including hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, and performance reviews.
• Oversee shift operations and department work schedules.
• Ensure weekly flyer ads are in stock and ready for sale; manage upcoming ad stock and ordering.
• Stock and organize department items per department schematics with price accuracy.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in aisles and storage areas.
• Assist customers with purchases and product selection; cross-sell when appropriate.
• Receive, inspect, and log products for shipment and quality; monitor expiry dates.
