Job summary

The University of Alabama at Birmingham seeks an Associate Director of Wellness and Student Affairs to lead the development and implementation of programs that promote students’ physical, mental, emotional, and social health across campus.

You will supervise staff and peer educators, manage program budgets, oversee outreach and marketing, collaborate with university partners, and contribute to strategic planning and program evaluation to advance student wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related field (Public Health/Health Education/Psychology or related) with three years of relevant experience.
• Experience in health promotion, student wellness initiatives, or higher education programs.
• Leadership experience supervising staff and supervising peer educators.

Responsibilities

• Plans, develops, facilitates, and evaluates health promotion initiatives for students.
• Leads peer health education program including training and supervision.
• Supervises staff and oversees hiring, training, and development policies.
• Oversees department outreach, social media, and marketing of programs and services.
• Manages program budgets and resource allocation.
