Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in health promotion, health communication or related area.
• 4–5 years of experience, preferably in a university setting
• Experience in supervision and mentoring students, budgeting and management
• Ability to lead, plan strategically, and build a comprehensive wellness program
• Ability to supervise and develop professional staff with students
• Ability to develop leadership and program management skills in staff
• Ability to set long- and short-term goals aligned with the university mission
• Ability to build relationships across campus and region
• Self-motivated, energetic, service-minded, problem solver
• Ability to work with diverse constituents
• Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient with word processing, spreadsheets, and electronic communication
• Some evening and weekend work

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing, overseeing, and managing engagement and outreach efforts for Well-Being Programs.
• Oversee consistency in hiring practices and budget for Well-Being Programs.
• Lead large-scale programming efforts and partnerships (Alcohol & Other Drug, BetterYou, marketing, grants).
• Collaborate with campus/community leaders to meet unit goals and policies.
• Supervise and evaluate staff for ongoing professional development.
