Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; ten years of related experience; advanced degree preferred.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities; excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Oversee creation of high-quality, multi-channel content; ensure messaging is strategic and accessible.
• Develop strategic storytelling across web, email, social, video, newsletters and print publications.
• Define and track performance metrics for communications initiatives and use data to inform strategy.
• Serve as primary liaison to Marketing and Communications on behalf of the division.
• Direct large-scale communications initiatives; manage resources and budgets.
• Advise senior leadership on opportunities, align messaging with institutional priorities.
• Represent the unit in institution-wide discussions and planning.
• Provide vision and direction for communications to support brand standards and reputation.
• Support university crisis management when needed.
• Hire and manage talent; onboard staff and align goals and performance expectations.
• Maintain proactive, high-quality communication with internal clients and teams.
