Job summary

Skagit Valley Food Co-op is seeking a Wellness Team Member to support the Wellness Manager in building a premier wellness department offering high-quality, affordable products with low environmental impact.

The role emphasizes non-harmful, locally sourced and fair-trade items, with a focus on customer service, product knowledge, and keeping shelves stocked and inviting. Part-time, 10–20 hours per week, with evenings and weekends required.

Qualifications

• Provides excellent customer service, greeting customers and helping them find products
• Uses computer to answer questions, print recipes, and check dietary information
• Keeps up to date on health issues, products, and industry trends
• Stocks, merchandises, rotates and faces products per procedure
• Maintains back-stock areas and assists with inventory

Responsibilities

• Assist Wellness Manager in developing the Wellness department
• Support implementation of department programs and promotions
• Provide knowledgeable guidance on vitamins, supplements and health products
• Maintain clean, organized displays and proper stock levels
• Handle orders, deliveries and invoicing as needed
• Respond to customer questions and offer product recommendations
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure a smooth operation
