Red Rock Behavioral Health Services in Shawnee, OK seeks a Recovery Support Specialist I to assist in rehabilitation and support under clinical supervision. The role focuses on crisis intervention, client advocacy, and education to promote recovery in emergency, outpatient or inpatient settings.

The RSS provides peer support, helps create wellness plans, and coordinates activities that foster physical health and community integration.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• PRSS Certification or demonstrated recovery from a mental health diagnosis.
• Be at least 18 years of age and willing to self-disclose about recovery journey.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and maintain relationships with clients and community.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates activities promoting physical health and wellness.
• Provides education on medication effects on health.
• Assists clients in developing personal wellness plans.
• Teaches recovery concepts and coping strategies.
• Assists in forming self-help groups and WRAP use.
