Job summary

Bernalillo County is seeking a Wellness Program Coordinator in our Human Resources department to develop and support countywide employee wellness initiatives. You will use health data to guide program design, evaluate outcomes, and promote engagement and well-being.

The role partners with county leadership and benefits teams to align wellness with strategic objectives, manages onsite and virtual events, and ensures compliance with policies while maintaining confidentiality of health information.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field required or equivalent experience.
• 2 years of program coordination or employee wellness experience.
• Ability to analyze data and communicate findings clearly.
• Knowledge of relevant laws and county policies.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and supports countywide wellness programs aligned with benefits strategy.
• Uses health data and utilization trends to guide program design and improvement.
• Evaluates program outcomes and recommends data-driven changes to engagement and cost-effectiveness.
• Leads wellness initiatives including preventive health, fitness, education, and incentives.
• Partners with leadership and benefits stakeholders to align wellness with objectives.
