Job summary

YMCA of Central Florida in Orlando, FL is seeking a dedicated Personal Trainer to help members achieve health and well-being goals in a welcoming, safe environment. You will provide high quality training, excellent service, and program guidance on the wellness floor and in the Family Center.

The role requires CPR/First Aid/AED, ongoing certifications, ability to upsell programs, and working flexible hours including weekends.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old.
CPR, First Aid, AED certification preferred before hire; must obtain within 60 days of hire.
Diversity experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Actively recruits and retains personal training clients.
Maintain confidentiality of member information.
Process payments for memberships per policies.
Assist members on the wellness floor and Family Center.
Design and document personalized fitness programs.
Coach and motivate members to achieve behavior change.
Monitor progress and answer member questions.
Stay informed on fitness trends to support members.
Build relationships and upsell Personal Training, Group Exercise, and related programs.
Utilize tools and information to enhance member knowledge of programs.
Report accidents/incidents per procedures.
Respond to emergencies with proper safety protocol.
Maintain current PT or specialty certifications as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
