The YMCA of Central Florida is seeking a dedicated Personal Trainer to help members achieve their health goals in a welcoming, safe environment. You will design customized fitness programs, provide coaching, and promote YMCA programs while upholding quality customer service.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• CPR, First Aid, AED certification preferred; must obtain within 60 days of hire.
• Certified Personal Training Certification or approved specialty certification (e.g., ACSM, NASM, NSCA, ACE, ISSA, NPTI, NETA) current and in good standing.
• Experience with diverse populations preferred.
• High standard of client confidentiality and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Actively recruits and retains personal training clients.
• Maintain confidentiality of member information.
• Process member contracts and payments through member services.
• Assist members on the wellness floor and Family Center.
• Design personalized programs and document progress.
• Coach and motivate members toward behavior change.
• Monitor progress and answer member questions.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of fitness trends to support members.
• Build authentic relationships and connect members with the YMCA.
• Upsell programs including Personal Training, Group Exercise, Youth Sports, Aquatics & Youth Development.
• Utilize handouts, schedules, and tools to increase program knowledge.
• Report accidents/incidents and follow safety procedures.
• Adhere to child abuse risk management responsibilities.
• Ensure rooms/lockers are secure; monitor high-risk locations.
• Respond to emergencies and enforce safety rules.
• Maintain certifications per Association requirements.
• All other duties as assigned.
