The role requires CPR/First Aid/AED certification or eligibility, ability to work a flexible schedule, and a commitment to upholding YMCA values in a diverse community.

Qualifications

• Certified Personal Training certification from ACSM/NASM/NSCA/ACE/ISSA/NPTI/NETA or a 4-year degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Physical Therapy.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills for diverse populations.
• Willing to maintain current fitness certifications as required by the Association.

Responsibilities

• Actively recruits and retains personal training clients.
• Maintain confidentiality of member information and handle payments per procedures.
• Design individualized fitness programs and document progress.
• Coach and motivate members to support behavior change and healthy living.
• Ensure safety, cleanliness and proper use of equipment in the wellness environment.
• Upsell programs such as Personal Training, Group Exercise, and Youth Programs.
