Job summary

Country Meadows is seeking a Wellness Secretary to provide clerical support to the Director of Nursing and nursing staff, including tracking tasks, filing, scheduling, and coordinating with medical offices. The role supports medical orders, pharmacy and medication details under nurse oversight and offers weekday hours 8:00AM-4:30PM.

Qualifications

• Medical office assistant certification or ability to complete Country Meadows training.
• Demonstrates organized work style, flexibility, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, e-mail) and willing to learn QuickMAR.

Responsibilities

• Handles telephone calls and directs them to the appropriate person or level of service.
• Assists nursing team with review of physician orders and ensures counter-signatures in a timely manner.
• Compares physician orders with QuickMAR and coordinates with pharmacy to ensure accuracy.
• Calls physician offices to request routine needs and schedules appointments (including health visits in the facility).
• Prepares Physician Office Visit paperwork.
• Tracks nursing documentation due dates and prepares resident documentation packets.
