Job summary

San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living is seeking a Wellness Nurse Supervisor to support the Health & Wellness Department by supervising caregiving staff, coordinating resident medical services, and ensuring regulatory compliance. You will lead clinical oversight and hands-on support to maintain a high standard of care.

The role requires California LVN/RN licensure, 2+ years of nursing or assisted living experience, and supervisory skills.

Qualifications

• Active California LVN or RN license is required.
• Minimum of two years of LVN nursing experience or experience in assisted living as Medication Technician or Caregiver.
• New RN graduates may be considered.
• Supervisory or management experience is strongly preferred.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Ability to delegate, lead a team, and manage multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of elderly care standards and infection control practices.

Responsibilities

• Supervise medication technicians and caregiving staff, ensuring accurate shift handoffs and timely documentation.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records related to medications, treatments, and resident care.
• Assist with resident admissions, discharges, transfers, and manage medical charts.
• Lead infection control policy implementation, including COVID-19 protocols and staff compliance.
• Coordinate and monitor resident medical appointments and transportation logistics.
• Triage health changes and provide immediate clinical support.
• Communicate changes in resident status to physicians, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Support hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and evaluations of wellness staff.
• Develop and lead training sessions, in-services, and mentoring programs.
• Maintain medical supply inventory and ensure timely ordering.
• Audit documentation and systems for compliance and quality improvement.
• Provide medication and caregiving support as needed.
