Job summary

GateWay at River City in Peoria, IL seeks a Wellness Nurse PRN to provide medication administration, care coordination, and resident support. This role emphasizes compassionate, comprehensive care for seniors in a welcoming community.

You will work collaboratively with a caring team, manage orders and documentation, and educate residents and families on health plans while maintaining high service standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Healthcare experience preferred, especially in senior living.
• Two or more years working with seniors is helpful.
• Strong customer service skills and a compassionate approach to care.

Responsibilities

• Manage medication orders and documentation in compliance with regulations
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered, with accurate documentation
• Coordinate care by completing admissions, assessments, transfers, and discharges
• Follow up with service providers to ensure resident needs are met
• Educate and support residents and families on care plans and health needs
• Provide friendly, professional customer service to residents and families
• Support and oversee QMAs and CNAs, assisting with resident care as needed
