Job summary

Atria Senior Living, Inc. is seeking a Wellness Nurse to support the Wellness Manager in delivering resident care services across the community.

You will assist with medication management, daily living activities, and staff training, ensuring quality care while maintaining strong resident and family relations.

Qualifications

• Must have a current LVN/LPN/RN license in good standing.
• State-specific certification or licensure requirements apply.
• Basic First Aid and CPR certification if required by state.
• Must complete Atria Medication Management Training if providing medications.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly with residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist Wellness Manager with implementation, delivery, and coordination of Resident Care services.
• Monitor the medication management program and assist residents with self-administration.
• Supervise the medication program and assist residents with ADLs as needed.
• Maintain positive relations with residents, families, and physicians.
• Report significant incidents or changes to the General Manager/Wellness Manager.
• Assist in resident assessments and service plans.
• Assist in the training of Assisted Living staff and orientation of new staff.
• Attend scheduled in-service programs, training, and staff meetings.
• Assist with scheduling and staffing of Wellness Assistants and Medication Assistants.
• May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.

• Licensed Vocational Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse with a current license in good standing.
• Certification or licensed per state guidelines.

The Wellness Nurse is responsible for assisting the Wellness Manager with the overall implementation, delivery, and coordination of Resident Care services at the Community. The Wellness Nurse will also assist in monitoring the medication management program.

• Assist in supervising the medication program, activity in the medication room, and assisting the residents with self-administration of their medications.
• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living, as needed.
• Maintain positive relations with residents, families, and physicians.
• Report any significant incidents and/or changes in the resident's needs to the General Manager/Wellness Manager.
• Assist in the completion of resident assessments and services plans.
• Assist in the training of Assisted Living staff and participates in orientation of new staff.
• Attend and participates in scheduled in-service programs, training programs, and staff meetings.
• Assist with scheduling and staffing of Wellness Assistants and Medication Assistants as needed.
• May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.
