Job summary

Coterie Senior Living in New York is seeking a Wellness Nurse to support the Wellness Manager in delivering high-quality resident care and coordinating the medication management program.

Ideal candidates hold an active LPN/LVN or RN license, with state certification, First Aid/CPR, and completion of the provider's training. The role offers a competitive hourly wage and benefits with flexible shifts.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist Wellness Manager with resident care implementation and coordination.
• Assist with the medication program and resident self-administration support.
• Help residents with Activities of Daily Living as needed.
• Maintain positive relations with residents, families, and physicians.
• Report incidents and changes to the Wellness Manager/General Manager.
• Assist in resident assessments and service plans.
• Assist in staff training and orientation; participate in in-service programs.
• Schedule Wellness Assistants and Medication Assistants as needed.

Qualifications

• Licensed Vocational Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse with a current license in good standing.
• Certification or licensed per state guidelines.
• Basic First Aid and CPR certification if required by State.
• Must successfully complete Atria's Medication Management Training (if providing medication reminders or assistance with medication).
• Must successfully complete all Atria specified training programs.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to work various schedules and shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

The Wellness Nurse is responsible for assisting the Wellness Manager with the overall implementation, delivery, and coordination of Resident Care services at the Community. The Wellness Nurse will also assist in monitoring the medication management program.

• Assist in supervising the medication program, activity in the medication room, and assisting the residents with self-administration of their medications.
• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living, as needed.
• Maintain positive relations with residents, families, and physicians.
• Report any significant incidents and/or changes in the resident's needs to the General Manager/Wellness Manager.
• Assist in the completion of resident assessments and services plans.
• Assist in the training of Assisted Living staff and participates in orientation of new staff.Attend and participates in scheduled in-service programs, training programs, and staff meetings.
• Assist with scheduling and staffing of Wellness Assistants and Medication Assistants as needed.
• May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.

Salary Range

The wage range for this position is $42.75/hr - $51.30/hr, dependent on prior work history and experience
