Job summary

Coterie Senior Living is hiring a Wellness Assistant to provide personal care and daily living assistance to residents in our community. You will deliver care tasks as directed by the Wellness Director and follow each Resident’s Service Plan.

We value a team-oriented environment with opportunities for training and advancement. A high school diploma or GED is required, plus completion of required training programs and vaccination verification at hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Must complete Atria Medication Training if providing medication reminders.
• Must complete all Atria training programs.
• Ability to read and understand simple instructions, memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to present information to individuals or groups.

Responsibilities

• Provide activities of daily living assistance to residents as per Service Plan.
• Assist according to state regulations.
• Offer verbal encouragement and support to residents.
• Prioritize tasks to ensure optimum service as needs change.
• Communicate with Wellness Director about changes in resident needs.
• Coordinate with other departments as needs arise.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one (1) to three (3) months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

The Wellness Assistant is trained to provide personal care and related services tasks as assigned by the Wellness Director.

• Provide activities of daily living assistance to the residents as directed from each Resident’s Service Plan.
• Provide assistance according to state regulations.
• Provide verbal encouragement and support to residents.
• Prioritize tasks to ensure optimum services to residents as requests and needs change.
• Communicate to the Wellness Director when a resident’s need has changed.
• Communicate to other departments as residents’ needs arise during the shift.
• May drive company vehicle from community to social and other various destinations (only if required by community).
• May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.
