Job summary

The Chronicle Of Higher Education, Inc. seeks a Wellness Navigator to support employees with WellU program enrollment and tailored wellness planning. You will work closely with the Osher Center for Integrative Health to guide participants and coordinate access to services.

Wellness Navigator

Job Summary

Responsible for supporting and guiding employees through the WellUprogram at the Osher Center for Integrative Health. Collaboratesdirectly with employees to create individualized wellness plansbased on employee Health Risk Assessment results. Works as liaisonbetween employee and various programs and services to ensure timelyaccess and positive outcomes.

Health Risk Assessment Management

• Monitor Health Risk Assessment (HRA) dashboards and reports toidentify participant needs and support timely follow up.
• Review HRA results daily to ensure no high-risk result gounresolved.

Program Enrollment and Orientation:

• Assist employees in navigating the WellU program and itsbenefits.
• Facilitate the Health Risk Assessment (HRA) enrollment processfor new participants.
• May conduct orientation sessions to introduce employees toavailable resources and services.

Tailored Care Pathway Coordination:

• Review individual Health Risk Assessment results of employees whoare identified as being at rising-risk for metabolic or mentalhealth concerns.
• Provide one-on-one consultations to assess individual employeehealth and wellness needs and recommend appropriate WellUservices.
• Develop personalized wellness plans in collaboration with programparticipants.
• Offer ongoing support and follow-up to ensure employee engagementand progress.

Resource Coordination:

• Coordinate with various departments and wellness providers bothinternal and external to the Osher Center to ensure a seamlessexperience for employees.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of available resources, workshops,and events.
• Assist in scheduling appointments and connecting employees withappropriate services.

Program Promotion and Outreach:

• Actively promote the WellU program through various channels,including email, social media, and in-person events.
• Organise and participate in wellness fairs, workshops, and otherpromotional activities.
• Create and distribute informational materials to increase programawareness and participation.

Data Collection and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate program records and monitor employeeparticipation to support program evaluation and continuousimprovement.
• Collect feedback from participants to continuously improveprogram offerings.
• Prepare regular reports on program utilization and outcomes forinternal review.

Collaboration and Teamwork:

• Work closely with the Director of Personal Wellbeing, EmployeeWellness Manager and other administrative staff to align programinitiatives with overall wellness goals.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to strategic planningfor the WellU program.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhanceservice delivery.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Health Care Administration, Business,Communication, Nursing or related field, or equivalency (one yearof education can be substituted for two years of related workexperience). Demonstrated human relation and effectivecommunication skills are also required. Experience in oncology,multidisciplinary clinics, and/or working with high-acuity, complexpatients may be preferred.
• Knowledge of lifestyle-related chronic diseases, behaviorchange principles, and integrative health principles andpractices.
• Experience organizing and managing program data, includingcreating charts, tables, and reports to support program evaluationand decision making.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the abilityto build rapport and trust with employees.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferences

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a wellness orhealth-related role.
• Bachelor's degree in health promotion, public health or relatedfield.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity RedcapDatabase program.
• Experience working in a higher education setting.
• Certification in health coaching or a related field.
• Bilingual or multilingual abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative, manage competingpriorities, and work independently while exercising soundjudgment.
