Carilion Wellness Roanoke seeks an Exercise Physiologist to screen, assess, and prescribe exercise for diverse participants, including high-risk individuals. You will work under supervision to ensure safety and effectiveness of interventions in both individual and group settings.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Exercise Science and 2 years of relevant experience, with required or preferred certifications such as ACSM-EP or equivalent, and AHA BLS-HCP.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Sports Medicine or related field is required.
• 2 years recent and relevant experience required.
• Licensure/certification: Personal training or certified exercise/clinical exercise physiologist or CSCS from ACE, AFAA, ACSM, NSCA, or Cooper Institute; Carilion approved 90-day trainings.
• Life Support: AHA BLS-HCP.
• Ability to work independently within a comprehensive health care team.

Aufgaben

• Develops clinical exercise prescriptions for patients with chronic conditions and injuries.
• Leads private and group training sessions, ensuring proper technique and safety.
• Maintains accurate data collection and progress reports (EPIC) and communicates with referring clinicians.
• Monitors equipment quality and notifies operations if repair is needed.
• Works collaboratively with staff, providers, participants, and community members.
