Job summary

Miraval Austin Resort and Spa is seeking a Full-Time Culinary Specialist to lead hands-on culinary classes and guest consultations focused on balance and wellbeing. You will design weekly workshops, share knowledge on local ingredients, and contribute to the Life in Balance culinary programs.

Qualifications

• Hands-on instruction in culinary classes and workshops.
• Lead weekly classes (pasta, knife-skills, tastings).
• Strong knowledge of cuisines, ingredients and cooking techniques.
• Understanding of Health Department food safety, sanitation and storage protocols.
• Experience in leading diverse culinary environments and teams.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate culinary programming through hands-on classes, workshops and lectures.
• Provide one-on-one guest consultations to help balance wellbeing goals.
• Maintain and develop curriculum for programs; adapt to current research.
• Manage attendance for classes and adjust for large groups.
• Collaborate with Executive Chef and team to ensure guest satisfaction.
