Job summary

The YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta is seeking a Wellness Coach Level II at the Northwest Cobb YMCA to build relationships with members and support wellness programs. You will monitor floors, enforce policies, maintain equipment, and ensure quality service across programs.

You will complete certifications (Coach Approach, YUSA Healthy Living foundations, BLS) within 60 days, maintain ongoing CEUs, and manage a member caseload. A strong customer service orientation and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Knowledge of general weightlifting and health/wellness concepts and ability to demonstrate use of wellness-related equipment.
• Must obtain/maintain access to Y-Exchange and to the Metro Atlanta YMCA Workday account.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily program tasks related to the position's scope and responsibility.
• Monitor the wellness center floor and assist members while enforcing policies.
• Clean, maintain, and check equipment; report repairs.
• Promote, monitor, and ensure wellness programs run smoothly with high service levels.
• Complete required trainings within 60 days of hire (Coach Approach, YUSA Health & Wellness courses, and BLS).
• Maintain ongoing wellness certifications and continuing education credits.
• Establish and maintain a minimum caseload of active members in the Coach Approach Program (100 for full-time; 50 for 20h/week part-time; proportional for <20h).
• Be available to work at least two four-hour shifts per week.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and avoid giving medical advice or endorsing supplements.
