Job summary

Greater Philadelphia YMCA is seeking a fitness coach to join our team at the Y in Philadelphia. You will engage members on the fitness floor, help others feel comfortable, teach proper equipment use, and support a safe, clean center while delivering friendly, motivating guidance.

Openings include day and evening shifts. We offer a free YMCA membership, flexible schedules, discounts on child care and summer camps, comprehensive insurance, generous PTO and holidays, and planning for your future as

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent.
• Fitness experience preferred.
• Enjoyment from working with people on a fitness floor.
• Excitement about helping members learn new equipment.
• Team player with a commanding, positive presence and passion for connecting with members and building relationships.

Responsibilities

• Engage members to foster a safe and rewarding fitness experience
• Build strong relationships with members and guests to facilitate their fitness goals
• Maintain a healthy, safe, and clean fitness floor
• Provide a friendly and encouraging environment for members in the usage of fitness and wellness programs and services.
• Have an understanding and provide basic information to members on exercising and health and wellness.
