Job summary

Metuchen-Edison YMCA in South Amboy, NJ is seeking a Wellness Staff-Opener for the Regular Part-Time role. You will supervise the Wellness Center, exercise areas, and equipment, ensuring safety and a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities include enforcing health guidelines, assisting members, keeping areas clean, reporting equipment issues, and maintaining certifications such as CPR and First Aid. Weekend/evening shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of wellness equipment and fitness.
• Ability to interact with a diverse population.
• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Supervise member usage of Wellness Center and equipment.
• Enforce health and safety guidelines.
• Provide a welcoming wellness environment for all levels.
• Maintain cleanliness of Wellness areas and equipment.
• Report faulty equipment and participate in trainings.
