Job summary

Metuchen-Edison YMCA is seeking a Member Services and Wellness Coordinator in South Amboy, NJ. You will support the Membership and Wellness Director in running the Member Experience Desk and health and wellness initiatives to foster a welcoming culture and strong member retention.

You will lead desk and wellness staff, ensure safety and certifications, develop programs, train personnel, and represent the YMCA at community events while promoting exceptional customer service and program

Qualifications

• AA degree in related field or equivalent education/experience.
• Certifications: ACSM, ACE, NASM or NSCA.
• Current CPR, AED, O2, First Aid.

Responsibilities

• Lead desk and wellness services to ensure a welcoming member experience and program registration.
• Train staff, schedule, and supervise personnel and volunteers as needed for desk and wellness services.
• Develop wellness, group fitness and personal training programs to promote member retention and engagement.
• Represent the YMCA at community events to promote the organization.
• Ensure safety standards and staff certifications are up to date.
