Job summary

YMCA of Central Stark County (Ohio) seeks a friendly, outgoing part-time health and wellness professional to help members of all ages reach total well-being through engaging, fun strategies. You will focus on building relationships, promoting safe workouts, and maintaining a welcoming Wellness Center.

Shifts include Monday–Friday 9a-1p and Saturday 7a-11a/11a-3p; starting rate $11.30/hr. Benefits include complimentary memberships and discounts on child care and programs, with training provided

Qualifications

• Candidate must provide service in a safe, enjoyable environment promoting member well-being.
• Experience working with people of different backgrounds, abilities, opinions and perceptions.
• Background in exercise science or related field preferred, but willing to train.

Responsibilities

• Build effective relationships with members
• Maintain working knowledge of wellness trends
• Maintain safe environment and functioning exercise equipment
• Take initiative to help members reach their goals
• Monitor Wellness Center as directed
• Part-time staff receive complimentary memberships and discounted rates for child care and most programs
