Overview

Position: Kroc Wellness Attendant (KAA)
Location/Dept.: The Salvation Army Kroc Center (SAKC), Philadelphia, PA
Availability: Immediate
Schedule: Part Time - Must be willing and able to work with flexibility as required in the performance of duties or as requested to support the pre-opening and ongoing operations of the Kroc Center.
Reporting Relationship: Fitness and Recreation Manager
Grade: 74
Salary Range: $16.00

Responsibilities

Under the direction and supervision of the Wellness Department Managers, the Wellness Attendant will assist in aquatics, fitness, gymnasium, and member services. Responsibilities include enforcing department rules, ensuring minors are properly accompanied by guardians, and verifying that only eligible individuals use the facility. The WA will address violations of department policies professionally and respectfully, and report issues, concerns, and questions to the Member Services, Aquatics, and Fitness Managers for follow-up.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or enrollment in a program leading to such achievement required.
• Current CPR/AED certification preferred.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills required.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Proficiency in oral and written communication skills.
• Must provide proof of training on recognizing and reporting child abuse (PA Act 153 of 2014) within 30 days of employment, with recurrent training every five years.
• Must meet Child Protection Clearances as required by PA Act 153, including PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, and FBI Criminal Record Check.
• An understanding and appreciation of the Mission of The Salvation Army.
