Menno Haven in Chambersburg, PA is seeking a Wellness Assistant to support planning, delivering, and coordinating wellness programs for residents. The role maintains wellness centers and equipment, ensuring safety and quality of service in a thriving senior community.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, 2+ years in wellness or related settings, strong communication, and CPR/First Aid certification. A valid driver’s license and EHR experience are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years’ wellness or related settings preferred.
• Experience with senior population preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication to coordinate with the team.
• Computer proficiency including MS Office and EHR.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean MVR.
• Lifeguard certification preferred.
• AFAP or fitness certification preferred.

Full-Time / Non-exempt / Pay based on experience

The Wellness Assistant supports the planning, implementing and delivery of wellness programs while maintaining wellness centers and equipment. The primary purpose of this role is to provide quality wellness services that promote healthy, active lifestyles for residents.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED, required
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in wellness, fitness, or related settings preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience working the senior population preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to ensure timely and effective coordination among team members required.
• Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with residents, volunteers, and staff required.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite and electronic health records (EHR) required.
• Working knowledge of wellness center equipment required.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) required.
• Active Lifeguard certification preferred.
• Arthritis Foundation Aquatic Program (AFAP) certification and/or group exercise instructor, personal training, or comparable fitness certification preferred.
