Job summary

Flanigan's Enterprises in Wellington, FL is seeking a friendly host/hostess to greet guests, seat them promptly, and help create a warm dining experience. You will be the first smiling face guests see and the last as they depart.

Responsibilities include managing the wait list, answering questions, keeping the lobby neat, and assisting with shift changes. Florida Responsible Vendor and food safety certifications are required to ensure excellent service.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read and write English.
• Must complete Florida Responsible Vendor program and Florida food safety requirements.
• Guest-facing role requiring friendly, professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests as they enter and guide them to tables with a welcoming attitude.
• Manage seating flow and wait list efficiently.
• Answer guest questions and direct to appropriate staff.
• Maintain lobby areas and restock menus.
• Assist with shift changes and opening/closing tasks.

Overview

You1re the first smiling face our guests see every time they enter a Flanigan9s, and likely the last as they go on their merry way. You set the tone for the entire experience, greeting all of our friends and family in a warm and welcoming way. You help usher guests to their tables, manage the flow of seating, field inquiries, and greet people on the way out, just as nicely as on the way in. We7re always looking for the most friendly, hospitable people to join the team.

Responsibilities

• Displays and maintains a cheerful and courteous temperament, as well as displays a neat and clean professional image
• Greets guests with Flanigan9s "Smile Talk"
• Engages guests in Flanigan9s "Smile Talk" while escorting them to table in a timely manner
• Efficiently manages the Wait List for seating
• Communicates guest9s questions or concerns to Manager on duty
• Keeps foyer, host/hostess station, wait area clean and free of debris, restocks and cleans menus
• Restock and maintain restroom cleanliness for guest
• Answers telephone within 4 rings, and answers guests9 questions, and/or directs guests to proper staff member
• Conclude guests9 visit with Flanigan9s "Smile Talk"
• Perform shift changes, opening/closing duties, assigned sidework

Qualifications

• Can reach, bend, stoop frequently
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to speak, read and write English
• Complete and pass Florida Responsible Vendor program, in compliance with Flanigan9s and Florida statutes
• Complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan9s and Florida statutes
