Job summary

Catawba Indian Nation in Rock Hill, SC is seeking a Behavioral Health Support Associate to provide recovery-oriented group support and culturally relevant services for individuals with substance use disorders.

Responsibilities include leading Wellbriety programs, facilitating talking circles, and supporting participants through IOP and related services. Travel for trainings may be required, with weekend availability and strong HIPAA-compliant practices expected.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of substance use disorders and recovery principles.
• Experience with Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) or related treatment.
• Willingness to pursue CAC or National Certified Peer Recovery role within two years.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Wellbriety programs and group sessions.
• Provide peer-based group support and mentorship using personal recovery experience.
• Educate clients to build coping skills and access resources.
• Develop and lead daily group talking circles.
• Attend trainings online and in-state/out-of-state as needed.
• Navigate BH intake and registration processes with participants.
