Job summary

Layne, a Granite Company, is seeking experienced Well Pump Installers to join their French Lick, IN team. If you have 5+ years of well pump systems experience and an active CDL, this opportunity offers up to $30-$32/hour, comprehensive benefits from day one, and a path for growth in a stable, long‑term employer.

Layne, a leading provider of water resources (drilling water wells, performing well services, and performing pump installations) and mineral drilling services, is seeking experienced Well Pump Installers to join their team in French Lick, IN.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Install, remove, service, and repair submersible and vertical turbine well pump systems.
• Install and work with pumps, motors, column pipe, drop pipe, valves, fittings, and related equipment.
• Assist with pump testing, well development, well rehabilitation, and water-level measurements.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues involving pumps, motors, controls, piping, and related equipment.
• Operate hoists, winches, cranes, forklifts, and other equipment used in pump installation and service.
• Use hand tools, power tools, rigging equipment, and specialized well-service equipment.
• Read and follow work orders, equipment manuals, drawings, specifications, and job-site instructions.
• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs to keep equipment operating safely and efficiently.
• Load, unload, transport, and properly secure tools, materials, pumps, pipe, and equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, equipment inspections, measurements, and materials used.
• Work closely with supervisors, mechanics, electricians, drillers, and other crew members to complete projects safely and efficiently.
• Follow all company, OSHA, and job-site safety requirements, including proper use of PPE and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and properly care for company tools, vehicles, and equipment.
• Travel to various project locations and work outdoors in a variety of weather and job-site conditions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support the successful completion of projects.
