Layne, a Granite Company, is hiring Well Pump Operators to join their Louisville, KY team. CDL is required and you will work outdoors operating field equipment on water and mineral projects.

• Perform hands-on construction and general labor to support well installation, pump service, and field projects.

Layne, a leading provider of water resources (drilling water wells, performing well services, and performing pump installations) and mineral drilling services, is seeking Well Pump Operators to join their team in Louisville, KY.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate trucks, construction equipment, and specialized field equipment used on well, pump, and water infrastructure projects.
• Drive company vehicles and transport equipment, tools, materials, and supplies to and from job sites using a valid CDL.
• Assist experienced crew members with the installation, removal, maintenance, and repair of well pumps, piping, motors, valves, and related equipment.
• Perform hands-on construction and general labor duties to support well installation, pump service, well rehabilitation, and other field projects.
• Operate hoists, winches, forklifts, and other equipment used to move, position, load, and unload materials and equipment.
• Use hand tools, power tools, rigging equipment, and other job-site tools safely and effectively.
• Load, unload, secure, and organize pipe , pumps, tools, materials, and equipment for transportation and use in the field.
• Assist with rigging, lifting, equipment setup, site preparation, and cleanup throughout each project.
• Perform basic equipment inspections and routine maintenance to help keep trucks, tools, and field equipment safe and ready for use.Follow direction from supervisors and work alongside operators, drillers, mechanics, electricians, and other crew members to complete projects efficiently.
• Follow all company and job-site safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and safe equipment operating practices.
• Maintain a clean and organized job site and properly care for company vehicles, tools, and equipment.
• Travel to project locations and perform physically demanding outdoor work in a variety of weather and job-site conditions.
• Learn specialized well, pump, and field operations through hands-on training and experience.
• Perform additional construction, equipment operation, and field support duties as needed to complete projects safely and on schedule.
