Qualifications

About the Role

Our client, a key player in the Oil & Gas exploration and production domain, is seeking a highly competent Well Integrity Engineer to join their team in Upington, Northern Cape . This crucial role is responsible for ensuring the long-term integrity and reliability of all wells throughout their lifecycle, from drilling and completion to abandonment. The Well Integrity Engineer will develop and implement well integrity management systems (WIMS), conduct risk assessments, and oversee routine integrity checks and maintenance activities. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of well construction, downhole equipment, well testing, and relevant industry standards and regulations. Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Strong understanding of well construction, completion technologies, and downhole equipment.
• Proficiency in well integrity management software and relevant industry standards (e.g., API, ISO).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and risk assessment skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment.
• Familiarity with different types of wells and their associated integrity challenges.
• Ability to work effectively in Upington, Northern Cape and contribute to a safety-focused culture.
• Experience with South African regulatory requirements for well operations is preferred.
