Placements24 is assisting a client in finding a Well Completion Engineer for a hybrid role based in Paarl, Western Cape, ZA. You will design, plan, and execute well completion programs, selecting equipment and developing procedures to ensure safe, efficient hydrocarbon production.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor''s degree in a relevant field and at least 6 years'' experience, with strong project management, analytical, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in well completion engineering.
• In-depth knowledge of completion hardware, tools and technologies.
• Experience with wellbore integrity, sand control and artificial lift systems.
• Familiarity with completion fluid management and hydraulic fracturing operations.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model with on-site and remote colleagues.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer well completion programs for various well types (e.g., conventional, unconventional).
• Select and specify downhole completion equipment, including packers, safety valves, and production tubing.
• Develop detailed completion procedures, including installation and testing protocols.
• Collaborate with drilling teams to ensure smooth transition from drilling to completion operations.
• Work with reservoir engineers to optimize completion designs for maximum reservoir contact and production.
• Manage vendors and suppliers for completion equipment and services.
• Conduct post-job analysis and performance reviews to identify areas for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental (HSE) regulations.
• Troubleshoot completion-related issues during operations.

This involves selecting appropriate completion equipment, developing procedures, managing risks, and collaborating closely with drilling, production, and reservoir engineering teams.
