Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin seeks a Program Manager, Well-being in Learning Environments to provide strategic leadership and day-to-day management for the WBLE program. You will partner with faculty, academic units, and campus leaders to embed wellbeing into teaching and classrooms, driving institutional impact with the Longhorn Wellness Center and SHIFT.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in education, public health, social work, psychology, or a related field.
  • Eight years of progressively responsible experience in a teaching environment.
  • Experience leading and managing programs within a higher education setting.
  • Experience teaching at a higher education institution.
  • Experience working collaboratively with faculty and academic leadership.
  • Strong consultation, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to lead teams of faculty.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Doctoral degree or terminal degree is preferred.
  • Experience with teaching and learning initiatives or program evaluation is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the vision, mission, and strategic direction of the Well-being in Learning Environments program.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key faculty champions and department administrators.
  • Oversee assessment and evaluation efforts and align metrics with campus data systems.
  • Lead cross-campus partnerships to embed wellbeing in teaching and learning environments.
  • Supervise student staff and manage day-to-day program operations.
  • Present WBLE updates to stakeholders including staff, administrators, and faculty partners.
