Shape quality from the first arc to final sign‑offAs a Weldment Quality Assurance Inspector, you’ll spend your day safeguarding conformance for fabricated weldments and assemblies. You’ll move from station to station, verify in‑process builds against drawings, and close out finished lots with confidence—catching issues early, validating rework, and recording every decision in Epicor.What you’ll doVerify in‑process work: confirm specifications, run visual and dimensional checks, and communicate needed adjustments to the appropriate department manager.Accept or reject finished parts: perform final visual and measurement tests; route nonconforming items for rework and confirm corrections are completed accurately.Document everything: complete inspection logs and reports, summarize rework and waste, and enter results into the quality database (Epicor).Keep tools reliable: follow instructions to operate and maintain gauges and metrology equipment (tape measures, calipers, micrometers, etc.).Read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions to understand customer requirements.Maintain required quality records, test data, and metrics.Decide and tag product status during periodic inspections in line with established procedures.Prepare and submit reports to the Quality Manager as needed.What success looks likeAttendance: You arrive on time, follow your schedule, stay prepared to start promptly, remain on the job to finish assigned work, and keep unscheduled absences to a minimum.Quality mindset: Strive to get it right the first time so customers receive products that meet their requirements.Safety first: Wear required PPE and follow all safety rules, procedures, and policies—every time.Accountability: Own the quantity and quality of your work and consistently pursue excellence.Qualifications1+ year of quality inspection experience or equivalent training.Background in a welding/fabrication manufacturing environment is a plus.Proficient with inspection tools and methods (tape measure, calipers, micrometers, etc.).Strong blueprint and technical document reading skills.Working knowledge of safety standards and willingness to use protective gear (face shield, gloves, PPE, etc.).Familiarity with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.Detail‑oriented with a results‑driven approach.Work environmentThis role is based on the shop floor in a manufacturing setting with loud noise, moving machinery, vibration, fumes, and airborne particles. You may work with or near chemicals described in accessible Safety Data Sheets.
