Valmont Industries is seeking a Weld Trainer/Technician to lead welding training, conduct on-the-job coaching, and administer welder qualifications per AWS standards. The role supports process improvement, maintenance and field work as needed, collaborating with operations, quality and safety teams.

The position follows a 3rd shift schedule (11 PM–7 AM) on site in Brenham, TX with potential overtime. The role requires extensive welding experience across GMAW, FCAW, SAW, SMAW and associated

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum five years of experience in a weld manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of GMAW, GMAW-C, GMAW-P, FCAW-G, SMAW and SAW processes.
• Knowledge of oxyfuel and plasma cutting operations.
• Ability to obtain CWI and CWE accreditations within 12 months.
• Knowledge of AWS D1.1 and quality systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access).
• Familiarity with Valmont’s quality system and standards.

Aufgaben

• Lead welder training and on-the-job coaching.
• Administer welder qualifications per AWS standards.
• Support welding process improvement, maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with operations, quality, safety and engineering teams.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Manage materials, PPE, and tools for training.
• Ensure safety hazards are recognized and trainees are in a safe environment.
