Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing is seeking a Machinist for our Northlake, TX plant. You will set up and operate basic and advanced machine tools to fabricate precision components for welding operations.

Responsibilities include verifying conformance to drawings, adjusting weld fixtures, and following engineering specifications. Applicants should have at least two years of machinist experience, welding proficiency (MIG/TIG/SAW), and strong communication and time-management skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; Associates degree preferred.
• Minimum of two years machinist experience.
• Welding proficiency with MIG, TIG, Shielded Metal Arc and brazing applications.
• Strong communication and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate machine tools to perform precision machining operations.
• Verify finished workpiece against specifications using measuring tools.
• Make advanced weld fixture adjustments for complex systems.
• Study drawings and blueprints to determine fabrication methods and sequences.
• Select tools, machines, and materials for machining tasks.
