Job summary

Arcosa Wind Towers, Inc. is seeking a Weld Technician to join our manufacturing team. You will use jigs and welding equipment to join, surface, fabricate, and repair metal parts, while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

You will train welders, inspect work, and assist with developing welding procedures and process improvements in a multi-shift plant environment. This role emphasizes safety, training, and hands-on welding mastery.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3 years of production welding preferred.
• Ability to pass welding qualification within 4 weeks.
• Experience operating GMAW, FCAW, GTAW (Tulsa Only), SAW.
• 2 years experience training production welding operators preferred.
• Understanding of NDT VT/UT/MT/PT.
• Formal welding training from an accredited school preferred.

Responsibilities

• Comply with safe work practices for heavy weld, assembly, and paint fabrication.
• Conduct audits of welding operators and process safety.
• Troubleshoot welding process and equipment issues.
• Identify areas for improvement and test new welding processes.
• Work with plant management to address welding-related issues.
• Conduct training on Weld Procedure Specifications and customer requirements.
• Visually inspect welds and review NDT records.
