Job summary

Arcosa Wind Towers, Inc. in Newton, IA is seeking a Welder to fabricate and repair wind tower sections using semi-automatic and mechanized welding equipment. You may inspect work for conformance to specifications and perform routine maintenance.

Welder process training is provided for eligible candidates. Work location is Newton, IA with safety-focused environment and potential overtime. Candidates should have 1 year welding experience in GMAW/FCAW/SAW/SMAW and be able to read a tape measure,

Qualifications

• 1 year welding experience in GMAW, FCAW, SAW, or SMAW.
• Read tape measure and use hand tools, torches, grinders.
• Read, write and speak proficient English.
• Follow directions and work well in a team.
• Must be dependable, punctual and focused on safety.
• Interest and aptitude in technology.

Responsibilities

• Proficiently perform welding on wind tower sections.
• Inspect completed work for conformance to specifications.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance of equipment.

Arcosa Wind Towers, Inc. is searching for Welders. As a Welder, you will use drawings or work orders using semi-automatic and mechanized welding equipment to fabricate and repair wind tower sections. You may also be required to inspect completed work for conformance to specifications and perform routine preventative maintenance of equipment. Weld Process Certification Training is provided with eligible background and experience.

• Experience: 1 Year Welding in GMAW, FCAW, SAW, or SMAW

Working Conditions:

• Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas and plant grounds.
• This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays
• Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant
