Job summary

Arcosa Wind Towers, Inc. is seeking a Weld Technician to support safe welding operations and train welders in metal joining and machine operation.

You will lay out pieces from blueprints, set up with jigs, and weld using various processes, while inspecting work and maintaining equipment. The role requires hands-on training, adherence to safety standards, and collaboration with plant management.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 3 years of production welding preferred.
• Must pass welding qualification within 4 weeks.
• Experience in training production welding operators is preferred.
• Knowledge of NDT VT, UT, MT, PT is expected.

Responsibilities

• Comply with safe work practices for heavy weld, assembly, and paint fabrication.
• Conduct audits of welding operators and process safety.
• Troubleshoot welding process and equipment issues.
• Identify areas for improvement and test new welding processes.
• Train and coach welders on procedures and customer requirements.
• Visually inspect welds and review NDT records for root causes.
